Based on the Robin Hood legend, the film follows Sir Robin Hood of Locksley, Earl of Huntington, who has returned to Nottingham after fighting in the Third Crusade just to find the oppression caused by the new Sheriff of Nottingham. Using his intelligence and military skills, he tries to free his home village from tyranny and corruption in England.

Russell Crowe stars as Robin Hood, the man who steal from the rich and gives to the poor. The film also stars Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac, Lea Seydoux, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Alan Doyle, Danny Huston and Max von Sydow.

Robin Hood will open wide in theaters across the U.S. on May 14, 2010.

The film is a timeless story of trust, forgiveness, and love. After serving six years, Brett Hanson is released from prison with quiet dignity and subtle remorse. Bound for home, but unsure if his wife will welcome him, Brett accepts a ride from two wayward teens. At first, he keeps to himself, but in time he becomes a trusted father figure and begins to slowly reveal the secrets of his troubled past.

“The Yellow Handkerchief” has Stewart portraying Martine, Eddie Redmayne playing Gordy and William Hurt taking the role of Brett. Maria Bello is in supporting role as Brett’s ex-wife.
