Official Plot Synopsis:

X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

X-Men: First Class is being directed by Matthew Vaughn and also stars Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz and Bill Bilner.

X-men: First Class scene

New scene (and six older) for Matthew Vaughn’s superhero prequel X-Men: First Class debuted today. The action moves back to the ’60s as young mutants Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) get caught up in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

X-Men: First Class plot synopsis:

The film stars James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as Professor X and Magneto, respectively, and co-stars Nicholas Hoult, Caleb Landry Jones, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemying, Kevin Bacon, January Jones, Oliver Platt, and the most recent addition, Ray Wise.

X-Men: First Class release date June 3, 2011.

Here is a X-Men: First Class two character posters released by 20th Century Fox, an upcoming superhero flick from ‘Star Dust’ and ‘Kick-Ass’ director, Matthew Vaughn.

Synopsis:
The young ranks of the X-Men mutant supergroup are mined in this youth-minded installment, directed by Kick-Ass’ Matthew Vaughn. Taking its title from the 2006 comic, the feature will focus on the early years of Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) as they develop the Mutant School for Gifted Youngsters. “X-Men: First Class” is about the formative years of Xavier and Magneto, and the formation of the school and where there relationship took a wrong turn. There is a romantic element, and some of the mutants from “X-Men” will figure into the plot. There will be a lot of new mutants and a great villain.
