Earlier we posted the first poster for George Clooney‘s  comedy-drama movie The Descendants and today we have a brand new trailer. The film is directed by Oscar-winner Alexander Payne, and also stars Judy Greer, Matthew Lillard, Shailene Woodley, Beau Bridges and Michael Ontkean.

The first poster for George Clooney‘ upcoming movie The Descendants has been relased, directed by Oscar-winner Alexander Payne. The movie also stars Judy Greer, Matthew Lillard, Shailene Woodley, Beau Bridges and Michael Ontkean.

From Alexander Payne, the creator of the Oscar-winning SIDEWAYS, set in Hawaii, THE DESCENDANTS is a sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic journey for Matt King (George Clooney) an indifferent husband and father of two girls, who is forced to re-examine his past and embrace his future when his wife suffers a boating accident off of Waikiki. The event leads to a rapprochement with his young daughters while Matt wrestles with a decision to sell the family’s land handed down from Hawaiian royalty and missionaries.

The first clip from director Alexander Payne’s The Descendants has been released.  Set for release on December 16, The Descendants stars George Clooney, Judy Greer, Beau Bridges, Matthew Lillard, Robert Forster, Shailene Woodley, Mary Birdsong, Nick Krause and Amara Miller.

A reporter (McGregor), trying to lose himself in the romance of war after his marriage fails, gets more than he bargains for when he meets a special forces agent (Clooney) who reveals the existence of a secret, psychic military unit whose goal is to end war as we know it. The founder of the unit has gone missing and the trail leads to another psychic soldier who has distorted the mission to serve his own ends.

The Men Who Stare at Goats will hit US theaters on November 6th 2009.

Reporter Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor) is in search of his next big story when he encounters Lyn Cassady (George Clooney), a shadowy figure who claims to be part of an experimental U.S. military unit. According to Cassady, the New Earth Army is changing the way wars are fought. A legion of Warrior Monks with unparalleled psychic powers can read the enemys thoughts, pass through solid walls, and even kill a goat simply by staring at it. Now, the programs founder, Bill Django (Jeff Bridges), has gone missing and Cassadys mission is to find him. Intrigued by his new acquaintances far-fetched stories, Bob impulsively decides to accompany him on the search. When the pair tracks Django to a clandestine training camp run by renegade psychic Larry Hooper (Kevin Spacey), the reporter is trapped in the middle of a grudge match between the forces of Djangos New Earth Army and Hoopers personal militia of super soldiers.

The Men Who Stare At Goats will be in US theaters on November 6.

Jason Reitman’s George Clooney starrer “Up In The Air” has finally been granted a Us release date in an albeit ‘limited run.’ The flick, which is based on the Walter Kirn novel of the same name, was set to be released on November 13, which would have put it up against Grant Heslov’s “The Men Who Stare At Goats”, which also stars Clooney. Now, Up In The Air will debut just a couple of weeks later on December 4th. Almost immediately after movie pushed to new release date, second theatrical trailer appear online.

As you’ll know by now, Clooney is the morally empty “corporate downsizer” on a mission to collect a million air miles as he travels around eviscerating small businesses, until circumstances start converging to prick his conscience. The new trailer obviously showcases Clooney, doing his wounded Michael Clayton corporate schtick, but it also gives us a good look at Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick as the female leads, and glimpses of what’s sure to be sterling support from Jason Bateman, JK Simmons and flavour-of-the-year Zach Galifianakis.

“Up in the Air” Trailer

“Up in the Air” will be showing at the London Film Festival later this month, and gets its full UK release in January.

Debuted at Apple, the fresh “Fantastic Mr. Fox” trailer takes a look at Mr. Fox’s decision to buy a new home for his family despite the danger that may come with it.

In the film, Mr. and Mrs. Fox (George Clooney and Meryl Streep) live an idyllic home life with their son Ash (Jason Schwartzman) and visiting young nephew Kristopherson (Eric Anderson). But after 12 years, the bucolic existence proves too much for Mr Fox’s wild animal instincts. Soon he slips back into his old ways as a sneaky chicken thief and in doing so, endangers not only his beloved family, but the whole animal community. Trapped underground and with not enough food to go around, the animals band together to fight against the evil Farmers – Boggis, Bunce and Bean – who are determined to capture the audacious, fantastic Mr. Fox at any cost. Among others, voices of Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Willem Dafoe will apear in movie.

Based on the novel by author Roald Dahl, the film comes from director, producer and writer Wes Anderson and animator Mark Gustafson.

“Fantastic Mr. Fox” Trailer

Scheduled to open the 53rd Times BFI London Film Festival on October 14, “Fantastic Mr. Fox” is set to open wide in the U.S. November 13.

This animated movie,  by director Wes Anderson, based on the book by Roald Dahl, featuring the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman.
