Beginners Synopsis: Oliver (Ewan McGregor) is still mourning the death of his father Hal (Christopher Plummer), who he became very close to after Hal, at the age of 75, came out of the closet and led his final years in a happy existence where he celebrated his sexual freedom and his individuality. When Oliver meets Anna (Melanie Laurent), he devotes himself to loving her with all the reckless freedom that his father displayed in the final years of his own life. Directed by Mike Mills. (more…)
