Iron Man 2 US Poster and Viral Website Appear

MySpace has debuted the fresh new US  poster for Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2.

Iron Man 2 is set six months after the events of Iron Man, with the secret “S.H.I.E.L.D.” organization continuing to play a major role.  The film also explores Stark’s alcoholism, his unwillingness to accept his advancing age, his glib approach to life while concealing the fact he is Iron Man and his jealously towards love interest “Pepper”, finding another boyfriend.

Also Jon Favreau himself  tweeted a link to a viral website for the movie – Stark Expo 2010 which leads to a very fancy site which will no doubt act as a portal for various media and other lovely Iron Man 2 stuff. As part of the web launch, fans are able to view two fictional promotions for Stark Expo 2010, set to launch in 37 days — which, coincidentally, is May 7, 2010, the release date for Iron Man 2.

Iron Man 2 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, John Slattery, Kate Mara, Clark Gregg, Olivia Munn and will be released in US theaters on May 7th.
