Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser – “Extraordinary Measures” Movie
The plot of this film is inspired by the true story of John Crowel (Brendan Fraser – The Mummy) who defied conventional wisdou and grat odds and risked the future of his family to pursue a cure for the life of his childrenwho have a threatening disease.
Directed by Tom Vaughan in the tradition of great inspirational dramas like the Academy Award nominated film Erin Brockovich and The Pursuit of Happyness. Extraordinary Measures is the first ilm to go into production for CBS Films.
Extraordinary Measures plot: Supported by his wife Aileen (Keri Russell) and their three children Crowley (Brendon Fraser) is on the fast tack in corporate America. At one point Crowely walks away from it all. His youngest children Megan and Patrick are diagnosed with a fatal disease. Crowley tems upwith a brilliant but unappreciated and unconventional scientist, Dr. Robert Stonehill (Harrison Ford – Indiana Jones).
In an interview about his role Harrison Ford said: “Because the character is a fiction, he’s a composite of other contributors to the science that brought this enzyme therapy through the process. We had the opportunity to make him up out of those things that helped tell the story. We wanted to create both ally and antagonist for John.”
And Fraser added about the movie: “I was told that by virtue of making this film in a way we’ll raise awareness so that’s a tool in and of itself.”
Opened in theatres on January 22nd.
