“2012″ Movie Featurette Reveal Las Vegas in Ruin

Los Angeles will not be the only American city devastated  in “2012″ movie. As a new featurette for the global disaster movie unravels that Las Vegas will also be left ruinous.

Despite its end-of-the-world tone, this disaster movie will focus more on the heroic struggle of the survivors. John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt and Woody Harrelson are among the cast.

This behind-the-scene video offers a look at how the visual effects team work on creating the ruins of the Sin City. The two minutes plus footage features short interview with the producers and VFX supervisors for the movie, Marc Weigert and Volker Engel. The two talk about the difficulties they encountered when they have to make Vegas recognizable despite the devastation.
