“Rambo 5″ production set on spring 2010
Like before, Sylvester Stallone will direct and star in the fifth installment of Rambo. This time, the 63-year-old action star will be seen manning his John Rambo character as the Vietnam veteran fights his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border.
“Rambo 5″ will be produced by Avi Lerner, Kevin King Templeton and John Thompson with Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short and Boaz Davidson as executive producers. No word on whether Stallone will also write for the script like what he’s done with the fourth installment. Production is planned to start in spring of 2010.
Mickey Rourke Is a Potential ‘Rambo V’ Villain
The Sun reported that The Wrestler’ star Mickey Rourke has been reported to have met Sylvester Stallone in Los Angeles for a possible collaboration in the next ‘Rambo’ movie, ‘Rambo V’. If the story is indeed true, “Rambo V” will be another collaboration of the two action actors since Rourke has been signed to star in Stallone’s “The Expendables”.
Rambo V, as the project is presently being called, will start shooting in the spring of 2010.
