New “King Kong: King of Skull Island” Movie Ahead

Variety publishes an interesting future project to be conducted Spirit Pictures. This is a new film about the legendary King Kong at the moment and could be developed. The study was done to the rights of the book Kong: King of Skull Island, an illustrated novel that is considered the authorized sequel to King Kong and 1933 Dark Horse published. The book was created and illustrated by Joe DeVito and written by Brad Strickland with John Michlig.  The book focuses on the background of Skull Island and how the giant gorilla became undisputed King there.  In addition, it introduces other giant gorillas and dinosaurs that have been used in previous films.

The intention of the study is used to produce the film using motion capture technology, as do the tapes in Robert Zemeckis “The Polar Express”, “Beowulf”‘and the latest venture of Disney,”A Christmas Carol”.

This is not the only project that is developing Spirit Pictures. It also has a pending project entitled “War Eagles”.  It is located just before the start of the 2nd World War, when a primitive tribe of Vikings, was discovered in a remote island near the Arctic. On the island, it seems past time, and there are still dinosaurs and a form of pre-historic life. Nordic tribe has power over beings who are believed legendary: huge Eagles. They can fly mounted on them and control them. When the Nazis attacked the world, they will help humanity to fight the Germans using the giant eagles. Andy Briggs is the author of two screenplays.
