3 up close character from “Alice in Wonderland”

Three Vanity Fair scanned photos of the Tim Burton’s 3-D re-imagining of “Alice in Wonderland” expose new take on Alice, The Mad Hatter and The Red Queen.

Three more character images from “Alice in Wonderland” have been found. Each presenting Mia Wasikowska’s Alice, Johnny Depp’s The Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter’s The Red Queen. The photos came out in the latest edition of Vanity Fair.

“Alice in Wonderland” is based on the Lewis Carroll classic of the same name and will combine performance-capture imagery with live-action footage.

For this 3-D re-imagining of the original animated classic, director Tim Burton gives a unique twist making it a semi-sequel. The story centers on the now-17-year-old Alice. Attending a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types, she runs after a white rabbit into a hole and ends up transferred once again to Wonderland. Still, she has no recollection of this place she visited 10 years before.
