First Trailer for upcoming vampire film “Daybreakers”

Exclusive trailer for vampire thriller “Daybreakers” is courtesy of Yahoo. As seen in trailer, Ethan Hawke stars as a vampire researcher who finds the key to save the human race in the world overrun by the blood-suckers.

As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.

Next to Ethan, in the main roles appear Willem Dafoe, Sam Neill and Isabel Lucas. Shot in Australia from July to September 2007, Daybreakers comes from writer-director duo, Peter and Michael Spierig.

Movie will be appear in theaters in the US at January 8, 2010.
